Pelham Art Center Presents Community Art Day
Pelham Art Center invites the entire community to a vibrant afternoon of creativity and celebration at its annual Community Art Day, taking place on Saturday, August 9th, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public, offering hands-on art activities, music, local vendors, and more—all set in the Center’s gallery and outdoor courtyard.
Children and family members had a creative blast at last year’s Community Art Day.
Guests of all ages will enjoy a variety of arts and crafts stations, including spin art, tie-dye, flower pot decorating, and more engaging activities led by dedicated local volunteers. Creative face painting by Nicole Jones of The Artful Event will also be present to add some extra sparkle to the day for visitors of all ages, especially our youngest art lovers. If you’d like to participate in our tie-dye station, the Center asks that you bring a white item to work with. Lively, upbeat music will be spun by DJ Matrix throughout the afternoon, and free refreshments will be available for all to enjoy, provided by a generous donation from ShopRite of Pelham.
New to the festivities this year will be an eclectic Pop-Up Mini Market to browse through and shop at. Notable local community vendors will include S&S Health & Wellness, Gaelle French Pastry, GLD Interiors, and Golden Cabana Jewelry. Whether its holistic wellness essentials such as aromatherapy lotions, sweet treats such as fresh macarons, a glimpse into timeless interior designs, or a collection of vintage and contemporary jewels, there will be something to interest every member of the family.
In addition to these fun activities, visitors are encouraged to explore the Pelham Art Center’s 2025 Artist Collective Exhibition, on view in the gallery through September 7. It’s the perfect time to experience the abundant talents of local artists, purchase an inspiring work of art, and connect with the creativity that drives our community.
Community Art Day is made possible through the generous support of the Junior League of Pelham, Town of Pelham, ArtsWestchester, and New York State Council on the Arts, whose funding helps us keep the event free and joyful for all who attend.
Join in and celebrate the power of art to bring people together!
