PMPD Community Outreach & Education

Last month, the Pelham Manor Police Department (PMPD) had  an active week with community outreach and education. The children at both nursery schools had a visit with Officer Manias of the PMPD. They were very excited to meet a Police Officer, have a chance to see the police car up close and turn on the lights and sirens. Also, Sargent Ryan and Officer Vogel held an informative, interactive assembly with the students at Prospect Hill Elementary School to discuss bicycle and pedestrian safety. The children were enthusiastic and attentive listeners and learned a lot about staying safe on our sidewalks and streets.

Families are so proud of the PMPD for providing this presentation and continuing to partner with the educational facilities in the Village to support pedestrian safety education and outreach. Making sure the children in the community navigate safely on the roadways is a team effort. Everyone is encouraged to be a good role model by letting actions speak as loudly as words; take a moment to review pedestrian safety tips
