Pelham Rec. Boys Basketball Teams Win Two 2024 Westchester County Championships
Pelham Rec. Boys Basketball Teams captured two Westchester County Basketball championships at the Westchester County Center in March.
Pelham’s 8th grade team defeated Eastchester by a score of 51-28 to win the County Championship. Team members included Drew Bier, Oliver Dannecker, Tyler James, Ian Rodriguez, Jared Slawsky, Jesiah Taylor, Will Kapplow, Jason Fabiani, Henry Feurstein, Justin Irani, Josiah Hewlett, and MVP Anthony Nilcastri who scored 17 points.
The Head Coach was Willie Faulkner, and the Assistant Coach was Chris Russo.
In the County 5th-6th grade title game, Pelham 6th grade defeated Pelham 5th grade by a score of 43-32. Team members included Jack Barrett, Lincoln Hayes, Jack O’Halloran, Oscar Rowe, Brady Kahn, Jackson Koupal, Phil DeCandido, Ford Fainback, Dylan Gatchalian, and game MVP James Sheehy who scored 27 points.
The Head Coach was George Negrin and Assistant Coach was Frank Marsellino.
Pelham 5th grade team members included Jack Peltz, Lincoln Dannecker, Teddy Garry, Maddox Jaze, Sebastian Jaze, Luke Messina, Luis Jacob Casenas, Parker Simmons, John Bunyan, Sebastian Cooper, Gus Grubert, and Devin O’Sumvan.
The Head Coach was Jeremy Caimiguel and Assistant Coach was Vinny Salerno.
