Julia Loughman

PMHS Alum Returns to Help Students Prepare for College…and Life

Julia Loughman is a Pelham resident who graduated from Pelham Memorial High School in 2019. After completing her bachelor’s degree in Community Health at Tufts University, she is now working towards a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) from the Tufts University School of Medicine. Julia will also attend medical school this fall, with an eye toward primary care and community-based interventions.

As part of her MPH practicum, Julia is working with Project Community, one of Pelham’s leading non-profit organizations. She is helping to bring some of the group’s valuable presentations about binge drinking and sexual assault to the high school. Julia hopes that her MPH coursework and previous experience as a student at PMHS will allow her to make an impact on the current student body. Julia also has a younger brother at PMHS, so youth prevention work is of personal and professional interest to her.

Everyone is extremely proud of Julia for embracing Project Community with her continued commitment to assist and guide the next generation of Pelham students, sharing with them the real life experiences of college life.
