Manu Naik, Lark Martin, Joseph Martucci and Shannon Winston Named Rotary Scholars
Rotary Club of the Pelhams recognized four Pelham Memorial High School seniors—Manu Naik, Lark Martin, Joseph Martucci and Shannon Winston — as Marilyn Stiefvater Scholars for the months of January and February at its Feb. 5 luncheon meeting.
The four students who were introduced by Rotary member and PMHS Principal Sean Lellwellyn were:

He is a Youth Advisor for Pelham Together, vice president of the Breast Cancer Awareness Club, and Treasurer of the Students for Refugees Club. He is also a member of the Young Democrats and has served as a peer mentor and tutor for younger students.
Lark Martin (January) is a member of six honor societies, including the Tri-M Music Honor Society, and she plays classical and jazz piano and French horn. Lark is a talented varsity field hockey player as well as a competitive horseback rider. She has been a Pelham Examiner reporter and editor since the ninth grade. In addition, Lark has worked as a camp counselor and at the Pelham Picture House and has done volunteer work with Project Community as well as the Juneteenth Celebration.

He was awarded first prize at the Somers State Science Fair for his research on editing white blood cells and earned fifth place at the Regeneron Westchester Science & Engineering Fair. Joseph also spent over 150 hours as an intern at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine working on cancer treatments for the head and neck. He is an AP Scholar with Distinction, and a member of five honor societies. In addition to his academic accomplishments, Joseph is a captain of the Varsity Lacrosse team and was named a Lohud All Star on the Varsity Soccer team. He also competes in national tournaments for a travel lacrosse team.
