Welcoming New BOA Member & Honoring Felix Cavaliere
The Village of Pelham Manor was delighted to welcome Sylvia Rowe to the Zoning Board of Appeals at a recent Board meeting. A longtime resident, Ms. Rowe is an accomplished attorney and global health expert. She spent nearly 20 years working to improve access to medicine in underserved communities across the globe. Ms. Rowe is now part of an in-house team at a major NYC law firm. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and school-aged children and is an active local volunteer at organizations including Huguenot Memorial Church.
The Board of Trustees was honored to issue a Proclamation to former Pelham Manor resident and PMHS graduate Felix Cavaliere. Mr. Cavaliere is a classicly trained pianist and pioneering organist. As the lead vocalist for The Young Rascals, later known as The Rascals, he gained national recognition for songs such as Groovin’, People Got to Be Free, A Beautiful Morning, and How Can I Be Sure. With a musical career spanning six decades, Mr. Cavaliere is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Hammond Hall of Fame, and the Musicians Hall of Fame Museum. Mr. Cavaliere still writes new material from his Nashville home and actively tours. Local radio personality Dennis Nardone was pleased to accept the proclamation on Mr. Cavaliere’s behalf.
