Paul R. Sutorius Added to NYS Firefighters Memorial
Recently, one of the Village of Pelham Manor’s own was honored at the 28th Annual Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Albany. Paul R. Sutorius was one of the first responders from Pelham Manor that honorably responded to the events that occurred on September 11, 2001 and actively participated in emergency operations. The NYS Firefighters Memorial is a symbol of gratitude and a tribute to the courageous individuals who were brave enough to respond.
Paul Sutorius grew up in Pelham Manor and was a Firefighter with the Pelham Manor Fire Department for twenty-seven years. We remember his contributions to our community and honor his commitment to fire safety. Sadly, he passed away on March 22, 2024, due to September 11 related causes. The addition of his name to the NYS Firefighters Memorial is an lasting and enduring tribute.
