Calvary Hospital Hosts 36th Annual Golf & Tennis Classic
Known as “The small town with a big heart”, Pelham once again has supported the remarkable work of Calvary Hospital – the gold standard for end-of-life hospice care – contributing to the huge success of its “Summer Fundraiser” – The Calvary Hospital Golf & Tennis Classic.
Celebrating its 125th Anniversary, Calvary once again hosted its popular annual event at the Brae Burn Country Club in Westchester County on August 5th, raising over $300,000 for its programs and services for patients and their families. Calvary is conveniently located in the northern Bronx, just minutes from Pelham. For generations, Pelham individuals and families have received Calvary’s expert hospice care at both the Hospital, and in their own homes.
Co-Chairing the event again was former Pelham resident and still a Pelham Civic member for 40 years – Joe Nunziata, and current Pelhamite Dennis Berberich, along with Maryann Farrell. The tremendous support of Pelham’s businesses and organizations through sponsorships and event participation included, among others, The Pelham Civic Association, The Berberich Family, Dr. Anne Frost, Robert Goelet, Michael Clain, Phillip Kiamie Sr. & Windsor Management, The Solimine Family & Meridian Risk Management, Anthony Collura & Guidepost Solutions, Bill Taubner & Ball-Chain/BonaFide Masks, Bob & Cindy Courtien & C&B Plumbing, and Dan DeVita & Penava Corp … in addition to countless individual Pelham donations. Many members of the Pelham Civic Association donated to a joint Calvary Memorial Sponsorship in honor of the Pelham Civic family members who were cared for at Calvary Hospital.
Please mark down Thursday, November 20th as Calvary Hospital will host its exciting 125th Anniversary Gala at The Plaza in NYC. For more information about Calvary, and how you can be part of its unique mission, visit calvaryhospital.org. Thank you
