Life Saving Certificate - PMPD

Last month, the Westchester Regional Emergency Medical Services Council held their annual awards ceremony to recognize providers who rendered exceptional Emergency Medical Services (EMS) throughout the county in 2024. Pelham Manor Police Officers Paul Cimaglia, Robert Vogel, and Timothy Zalesny received a Life Saving Certificate for their actions taken on October 5, 2024. Sergeant Paul Roberts and members of the Town of Pelham EMS were also recognized with a Unit Citation for their involvement with the incident.

The ways in which a community structures EMS delivery varies throughout the United States. Residents in the Village of Pelham Manor receive EMS delivery through the Town of Pelham, which is locally supported by the Pelham Manor Police Department (PMPD) for aided cases. While all of our first responders are trained in Basic Life Support and CPR, several members of the PMPD have the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification, including Officer Timothy Zalesny.

In honor of National Emergency Medical Services Week, the Village of Pelham Manor would like to express our deepest gratitude for everyone involved in the collaborative and effective EMS delivery provided to our community.
