Meditations II Opens at Pelham Art Center on March 7

Pelham Art Center announces the opening of Meditations II, on display from March 7-April 14, 2024. Curated by Susan Nathenson and Rosa Van Zandt, the exhibition brings together five artists working in painting and sculpture: Alex Hutton, Elaine Lorenz, Howard Nathenson, Melita Westerlund and Satish Joshi. Their work resonates with calming and healing practices as a form of meditation. Large-scale paintings, steel sculptures, and found object assemblage pieces come together to have a quiet conversation showing the expanse of artistic practices with both abstraction and representational works.

An opening reception will take place on Thursday, March 7 from 6-8pm. The exhibition will remain on display during Pelham Art Center’s regular hours through Sunday, April 14. On Saturday, April 13 from 1-3pm, a closing reception will feature a “Rock Garden” drop-in workshop led by PAC’s Teen Artist Council.
