Hope Contest Shows Inspiring Entries

Pelham Together recently hosted a Hope Contest for Pelham’s middle school and high school students.  Students were asked to creatively respond to the question, “What brings you hope.” It was incredibly powerful to witness the inspiring entries of how so many young people are finding hope. 

Entries included poems, paintings, videos, essays, drawings, and more, even a graphic novel!  The judges were so impressed, and overwhelmed with hope.  

Here are the names of the winners:  

Grand Prize: Devan and Gavin St. Thomas (6th grade)

First Place: PMS – Julie Sakhrani (6th grade); PMHS – Naiya Gonzalez (11th grade)

Honorable Mention: PMS – Asher Venugopal (6th grade) & Gianna Salerno (6th grade); PMHS – JJ Hetzer (9th grade)
