Rotary Club of the Pelhams recognized Pelham Memorial High School seniors Bonnie Wu, Dyllan Hoeflich and Daniel Johnston as Marilyn Stiefvater Scholars of the Month in April.
Bonnie Wu is a member of the National Honor Society as well as the Math and Science Honor Societies and has won awards in the Chinese Writing Contest. She is on the staff of the student DOOR magazine and is an artist. She is an ice skating instructor and plans to attend NYU in the fall.
Dyllan Hoeflich is a National Merit Commended Scholar and the school’s top scorer in Math. He is a member of the National Honor Society as well as the English, Science, Social Studies and Math Honor Societies. He qualified for States in the Science Olympiad and plans to attend Cornell in the fall.
Daniel Johnston is a member of the National Honor Society and the English and Social Studies Honor Societies. He is doing medical research related to cancer treatments. He is a guitar teacher and captain of the PMHS Lacrosse team. He plans to attend the University of Virginia in the fall.
In addition to recognizing PMHS seniors for their scholastic achievement monthly during the school year, Rotary Club of the Pelhams awards a $12,000 scholarship to a graduating senior annually.
