Two Pelham Memorial High School seniors—Julia Meyerson and Adam Wolf— were recognized by Rotary Club of the Pelhams as Marilyn Stiefvater Scholars of the Month in February.
Julia Meyerson was a Regeneron finalist and a Robotics Research intern at Stevens Institute of Technology. Her robotic research when implemented in the future will help modernize the electrical grid to prevent electrical failure. Her research also has been related to ethics robotics. She is a member of the National Honor Society as well as the Science, Math, Social Studies, English and World Language honor societies. She earned a Girl Scouts Gold award, the highest award equivalent to Eagle Boy Scout. She plans to attend Carnegie Mellon in September.
Adam Wolf is a member of the National Honor Society as well as the Science, Math, Social Studies, English and French honor societies. He received an award at WESEF Science Fair for a Water Project. He is co-founder of Model Rocketry Club, plays baseball and track.
In addition to honoring Scholars of the Month during the school year, the Rotary Club will award a $15,000 scholarship to a graduating PMHS senior in June. Applications for the scholarship are available through the PMHS Guidance Department.
