Municipal Center Groundbreaking

On Wednesday, October 19th, the Village of Pelham Board of Trustees hosted a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the construction of Pelham’s new municipal center – future home to police, fire and Village administration.
The municipal center will be constructed and financed by a private development company, Pelham Green, led by local resident Patrick Normoyle. Once constructed, it will be the most energy efficient public building ever built in Pelham.
Over 100 residents, volunteers, Village staff members, and elected officials from around the area attended the ceremony. Speakers included Mr. Normoyle, Hudson Development Director Sarah Pizer, Westchester County Executive George Latimer, State Assemblymember Amy Paulin, and former Pelham Mayor Mike Volpe. Closing remarks were provided by current Pelham Mayor Chance Mullen.
“This project is an act of aspiration,” said Mayor Mullen as part of his official remarks. “Just like those who came before us, we also aspire to build a beautiful and vibrant community that connects our residents with everything they need, right here in Pelham.”
