Pelham Manor Welcomes Volunteer
Firefighter Jennifer Mondido

At the October 10th Board meeting, Mayor Lapey was honored to swear in Jennifer Mondido as the newest member of Pelham Manor’s well-trained Volunteer Fire Company.

A rated rotor wing commercial pilot, Mondido holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Rutgers University and a Master’s of Science in Project Management from the University of Maryland. She served in the military for over 22 year, obtaining the rank of Lt. Colonel in Aviation and Psychological Operations. She also successfully completed several deployments in the Middle East, flying over 200 combat hours. In Iraq, she was the strategic lead in the redeployment of aviation assets.

Now retired from the military, Mondido is excited to continue her record of service by joining the Pelham Manor Volunteer Fire Company. She has already successfully completed the Firefighter 1 training course.
