Pelham Manor Hires Lindsey M. Luft as Village Manager

The Village of Pelham Manor is delighted to announce that Lindsey M. Luft will be sworn in as Village Manager at Monday’s Board of Trustees meeting. Ms. Luft possesses a wealth of municipal management experience. She was most recently the Assistant to the Town Administrator in the Town of Mamaroneck and previously served as the Confidential Secretary to the Village Manager in the Village of Ardsley.


Widely known for her strong leadership and collaborative style, Ms. Luft’s professional competencies include strategic planning, financial management, project management, regulatory compliance, and labor relations, among others. She is also skilled at systems development, as well as website development and maintenance.


Ms. Luft holds a Master of Science in Public Administration, with a certification in Nonprofit Management, and is a member of the National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration.  She completed her undergraduate work at SUNY Brockport, with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, and was inducted into the National Honor Society for Health Education.


Ms. Luft is the current President of the Municipal Administrators Association of Metropolitan New York (MAA), having previously served as Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer of that organization. She is also affiliated with the New York State City/County Management Association (NYSCMA) and the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), where she has served on that organization’s Conference Planning and Conference Evaluation Committees.

Under a well-structured plan, Village Manager John T. Pierpont will assume the position of Deputy Village Manager during a transition period. The Village’s goal under this framework is to facilitate a seamless transition on matters and services under the Village’s purview.
