The Tea Experience NY will be participating in the Buy From A Black Woman Holiday Market presented by H&M in Time Square New York City. The Tea Experience NY will participate on Sunday, November 27th from 10 AM – 4 PM EST.

Buy From a Black Woman, is a non-profit organization founded in 2016 by Nikki Porcher.

The organization connects over 600 Black Women-owned businesses across the United States and provides a community of support to help them flourish.

The Buy From a Black Woman Inspire Tour is a series of pop-up shopping events across 15 U.S. cities, highlighting local Black Women-owned businesses and providing them options in a world that limits their voices. Events in Atlanta, Washington D.C., New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles will be hosted in H&M stores where customers can meet and shop from local vendors.

This year Leslie Allicks, owner of The Tea Experience NY, will be on hand selling her curated SimpliciTEA holiday gift boxes, organic loose-leaf teas, and tea accessories, while sharing information on how to “reclaim your time” with a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Leslie will be joined by a variety of Black women-owned businesses ranging from skincare, and stationary, to home accessories and more.

While Black Women have been starting businesses at an increasing rate, annual sales for Black Women Business Owners are five times smaller than all Women-owned businesses due to a lack of support and awareness, which makes the work of Buy From a Black Woman so important.

A registered tax-exempt nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, Buy from a Black Woman ensures that Black Women have the tools and resources that will allow them to be successful. Through educational programs, an online directory, and funding, Buy from a Black Woman continues to grow as a trusted resource that helps Black Women in business.

Established in 2015, The Tea Experience NY (TTE) is a Black and woman-owned company that sells loose-leaf teas, tea accessories, and SimpliciTEA gift and tea-of-the-month subscription boxes on their website at www.theteaexperienceny.com. They also provide in-person tea party catering for meetings and parties.
