Pelham Civics Continue Tradition of Selling Fundraising Raffles Ahead of Dinner Dance Gala

By Joe Nunziata

Pelham Civic Raffle Chairman Michael Paradis will tell you,”Tradition means a lot to the members of the Pelham Civic Association. As has been our organization’s legacy for the past eight decades, you’ll find Pelham Civic members selling raffle tickets throughout the Town, raising funds to fuel our award-winning programs that assist the youth, the elderly, the financially needy and the mentally and physically challenged.”

At the Toonerville Music Festival on Saturday, September 16, a raffle table was set up throughout the day. On weekends, prior to the gala, they will be at DeCicco & Sons, Dunkin’ Donuts and Lenny’s in Pelham Manor. Once again, they’ll be giving away fabulous prizes, including a $10,000 cash grand prize. Other raffle items include a $1000 cash prize, a WEBER Grill (from Tiso’s), Golf Foursome at Pelham Country Club (from PCC), and five $100 Dining Gift Certificates to Sergio’s, LaFontanella, J-Cafe, Caffé Regatta, and Marcelleria Italian Steakhouse.

And as a reminder, ALL of the money raised goes into the Pelham Civics’ programs, projects and events that assist the families and individuals of the community.

The fundraising season concludes on Friday, October 14, when the Pelham Civics will be hosting their Annual Dinner Dance Gala at The Surf Club in New Rochelle … a fabulous venue for a fun and exciting time, honoring Persons of the Year, humanitarians Michael Volpe & Philip Carfora. Civic Dinner Dance Co-Chairmen are Mike Recca and Maurice Owen-Michaane.
