Get ready to spread some love! The Pelham Chamber of Commerce celebrated their third annual Random Acts of Kindness event on Friday, February 17th, 2023. The Chamber’s newest Pelham Manor business, R+D Wine & Liquors, generously sponsored this day of kindness to show their love for the community.

The Random Acts of Kindness event is more than just a day of giveaways and discounts, it’s about spreading kindness throughout the community. Studies show that performing kind acts not only benefits our health and well-being but also encourages others to continue the chain of kindness. Pelham Chamber of Commerce businesses lead the way by prioritizing giving back to the community.

Over 27 businesses in the Pelham Chamber of Commerce participated by offering discounts and giveaways. From free cake pop vouchers at Patty Pops to free appetizers at Rail House, there was something for everyone.

The Chamber hopes this special day will remind people to shop and dine locally, as residents are the lifeline to many local businesses. Chamber President, Cristina Chianese, shared that Random Acts of Kindness was started three years ago to invest in the community and remind everyone that they are all in this together. This event is her favorite and helps raise awareness for new businesses and encourages business owners to work together.

Pelham resident, Jamie Porco shares, “As a resident of Pelham Manor for over ten years, it’s events like Random Acts of Kindness that makes me proud to raise my two children in this town. Our local business community works so hard to add value to Pelham and it makes all the difference. We are so grateful for our Patty Pops voucher and can’t wait to cash in!”

The owners of R+D Liquors, Amrit & Satpal, are new to the Pelham community but were impressed with how the community embraced them. They saw Random Acts of Kindness as an opportunity to pay it forward and show their gratitude to Pelham for all the support they have received.

Let’s keep the spirit of kindness alive by continuing to spread love throughout our community!
