The Junior League of Pelham Launches Recruitment for 2026–2027 New Members
The Junior League of Pelham (JLP) is now recruiting women who are passionate about volunteering and making a meaningful impact in the community to join its 2026–2027 Provisional Class. Once enrolled, new members work together to carry out a provisional class project, with planning starting in October.
Prospective members are encouraged to attend an Information Session, which will be held in September. (Additional details will be announced soon on pelham.jl.org). During this event, they will have the opportunity to meet current League members, learn about the League’s mission and discover how they can make a lasting difference while building leadership skills and strong connections within the Pelham community.
“The Junior League of Pelham is a place where women join forces to serve, lead and make a positive impact in our community,” said Madeleine Mercer, president of the Junior League of Pelham. “The provisional year is a foundational part of that journey, introducing new members to committee work and essential skills that power effective nonprofit action.”
Established in 1941, the Junior League of Pelham has played a defining role in the founding of several noteworthy Pelham organizations, including the Pelham Art Center and the Town of Pelham Public Library. Current League projects include renovations to Woodland Playground, hunger relief initiatives, sustainability projects and flexible volunteer opportunities that support local nonprofit organizations.
